"It’s better to be absolutely ridiculas than absolutely boring"

I think my book idea is great. It literally came to me one day at work. I started jotting down notes so I wouldn’t forget, and the story just poured out. That was a few years ago, and this idea just keeps bugging me! It wants to get out and on paper so badly…

Now, several years later, I’m finally…

I have always loved writing, and so have made the decision to start again. Short stories, flash fiction, and hopefully somewhere along the line, a novel.
Now that I have made a conscious decision to start writing, the ideas haven’t stopped.
The important thing to firstly decide is your genre and how you want your readers to react; do you want them to laugh or cry for example?
Just run with an idea, once you have it, go to town, go with your heart.
One thong I’m a lit Le nervous about are developing the characters. For example, jodi Picoult develops all her characters in such a sensational way, the reader literally feels a personal connection with them, making them one of the most important elements in a story.

If I had a daughter, or even just a grieving friend, or maybe someone really, really special, I would tell them this:

that life is, well, never what you expect it to be. And, maybe they’ll laugh and say how cliche and lame I sound, but I know that it’s true. Life is never what you thought you had…

I’m thinking of writing a book as I want to be an author when I’m older, so I think I should probably start now!

I want to explore all the good times, bad times, ridiculas times, the not-so-believable times with your family.

I want to go into detail on all kinds the relationships between siblings, mother and daughter, father and son, mother and father, etc. All the tragedy’s, how your family dealt with them, and the bonds; the unbreakably strong ones, and the weak.

Are you proud of your family relationships, embaressed of your family, do you adore them or loathe them?

I genuinely want to know, so please, comment comment comment!
